Sydney 500 Wrap-Up: A High-Impact Start to the Season

The Sydney 500 delivered an unforgettable start to the season, combining on-track performance, customer engagement and strong brand visibility in one action-packed weekend.
We were proud to host customers from five different companies across the event, giving them exclusive access behind the scenes with guided pit tours. Experiencing the inner workings of a Supercars team up close, from race strategy discussions to the precision and coordination inside the garage, gave our guests a genuine appreciation for the professionalism, preparation and performance required at the highest level of motorsport.
On track, the results gave us even more to celebrate. Cam Waters secured an impressive third-place finish, earning a podium spot and delivering a strong statement in the opening round. It was a result that reflected the hard work of the entire Monster Castrol Racing (Tickford) team and set the tone for the season ahead. To make it even better, Round 1 concluded with Monster Castrol Racing sitting at the top of the Team Standings. It was an outstanding achievement and a powerful way to launch the 2026 campaign.
Beyond the racing itself, the weekend also highlighted the growing presence of Ultima across the paddock. It was fantastic to see Ultima products prominently displayed on other teams’ transporters throughout the circuit. That visibility reinforces the strength of the brand and the trust placed in our product range across the motorsport community. Seeing Ultima represented across multiple teams demonstrates credibility and performance at an elite level, where reliability and quality are non-negotiable.
One of the standout moments of the weekend was a once-in-a-lifetime experience for one very lucky customer, a hot lap around the track. Riding passenger-side at race pace delivers an entirely different perspective on the sport. The acceleration, braking force, cornering grip and sheer intensity of being on circuit provide a true appreciation for the performance of both driver and machine. It was an adrenaline-filled highlight and a premium customer experience that will not soon be forgotten.
Events like the Sydney 500 allow us to do more than simply attend a race. They create opportunities to strengthen partnerships, build deeper relationships and connect our customers directly with the performance environment that aligns so closely with our brands.
